With the passing of  #RobinWilliams  I used Google Trends to analyze his impact on the world and funny enough noticed a trend.

If you factor out biased influence, such as Google Logos that promote a person or a special edition work of passed celebrities, their death always leads to a 5 sigma spike. Should that be our measure of  influence on the world? Not a specific amount of people but our last throws of life increase our memories for a short time in relation to our entire search engine lives? Or is it our reaction to people in the public eye and not each other?

Interested to hear feedback.
